Name Origin
Martina, a name that holds significance as her birth name, aims to maintain a connection between her true self and her chosen artistic identity.
She yearned for recognition within a new project, and thus, she chose to adopt the surname 'Di Marmo', inherited from her late grandmother.
In the bygone era of Northern Italy, families were often identified by nicknames. Martina's family nickname was 'Di Marmo', meaning 'Made Of Marble' - a symbol of strength, eternity, and resilience. She cherished the homage it paid to her ancestors and was captivated by the contrasting nature of marble itself.
Projects and Teamwork
In 2023, Martina made her debut at the Creative Hub in Bologna, her current city of residence, alongside Amedeo Fresia as the producer and Samuele Gamberoni as the mixing engineer. They presented three standout tracks that define her artistic expression: Finally Free, I Remember, and Move Your Body.
In 2024, Martina caught the attention of producer OhmGuru (Riccardo Rinaldi) through the guidance of her mentor Daniela Galli (Benassi Bros). OhmGuru, affiliated with the renowned Three Hands Records, a Tuscany-based label known for producing the finest electronic and groovy music, recognized Martina's talent. Together, they will release her first EP titled Arcana in the first half of 2024.
